Body Waxing Care Guide

Everything you need to know before and after your body wax — how to prepare, what to expect, how to care for your skin, help prevent bumps and ingrowns, and what to do if something doesn’t feel right.

💗 A LITTLE EXTRA CARE 💗

Every client’s skin is different — and your wax doesn’t have to be one-size-fits-all.

At Brows & Beyond, we work with multiple professional wax options, including hard wax and options suitable for more sensitive or reactive skin when appropriate.

We consider:

✓ Your treatment area
✓ Skin condition
✓ Skin sensitivity
✓ Hair texture and thickness
✓ Previous waxing experiences
✓ Tendency toward redness, bumps or ingrowns

BEFORE WE WAX

Your skin is professionally cleansed and prepared as appropriate for the treatment area.

AFTER WE WAX

If your skin becomes particularly red, warm, bumpy or sensitive, tell us before you leave.

Additional care may include:

✓ Cold packs to help soothe temporary warmth or discomfort
✓ Appropriate post-wax soothing care
✓ Bump/ingrown-focused aftercare products when appropriate
✓ Additional calming care for reactive skin
✓ Personalized recommendations for caring for your skin at home

You don’t have to have “sensitive skin” to ask for extra care.

If you know you typically get very red, bumpy or irritated after waxing, tell us before we begin so we can take that into consideration from the start.

At home, use a clean, cool compress rather than placing ice directly against bare skin.

WHEN TO CONTACT US 💗

Our care doesn’t end when your appointment does.

Contact Brows & Beyond if:

✓ You’re unsure whether something you’re experiencing is normal
✓ Redness or irritation isn’t settling
✓ You’re experiencing unexpected bumps or sensitivity
✓ You’re struggling with ingrown hairs
✓ You think your skin may have lifted
✓ You’re unsure what products to use afterward
✓ Something simply doesn’t look or feel right

When possible, send us:

Your name • Treatment • Visit date • What you’re experiencing • When it started • Clear photos

Please don’t aggressively scrub, pick, shave, re-wax or chemically treat the area trying to fix it yourself.

For severe pain, blistering, significant swelling, spreading redness, signs of infection, widespread hives, breathing difficulty or another serious reaction, seek appropriate medical care rather than waiting for a salon response.
